What The Table is, and is not
The Table, a service of Invest Hamilton County, provides general information and coaching support to help people prepare for employment conversations, and to help employers conduct them well. It is not a lawyer, does not provide legal advice, and does not create an attorney-client relationship. The information here is based on general patterns and may not apply to your situation. For advice about your specific circumstances, including expungement eligibility, occupational licensing, accommodation disputes, or disclosure obligations in regulated fields, consult a licensed attorney. Free and low-cost legal help is listed on our resources page.
Never medical, never clinical
The Table never provides medical or clinical advice, and it never screens, assesses, diagnoses, or treats any condition. Content touching recovery or disability is employment information only. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 any hour of any day.
For employers
Employer-facing content summarizes federal guidance and evidence for educational purposes. It is not legal advice, and your employment counsel owns your policies, postings, and procedures. Legal and program facts on this site are labeled with their as-of date (currently August 2026) and reviewed on a scheduled cadence, but laws change and you are responsible for confirming current requirements.
No determinations
Nothing here is a determination of any person's rights, eligibility, or suitability. Courts determine expungement. Agencies determine program eligibility. Employers determine hiring. The Table helps both sides prepare for those conversations, and that is all it does.
