When you break something

The moment that decides what the rest of the placement is like.

Every workplace runs on people saying early when something is wrong. The mistake is rarely the problem. Finding out late almost always is. This is the single most transferable thing a placement can teach you.

Supervisor: “Hey, did you move the samples off the second tray?”

Supervisor: “It's fine, we can redo them. Just tell me next time, alright?”

Now you, out loud

One way it can sound

“”

Say it to the mirror, a friend, or the wall. Nothing here records, transmits, or stores anything. That is a promise built into how this site works.

Keep these

  • Say it early. The delay is the damage.
  • One clear acknowledgement, then a rule you will carry.
  • Nobody expects you to know. They expect you to say.
